'River' mural set for unveiling


The Albion community mural, "Crossing the River," will be unveiled at noon Sunday at Citizens Bank, 207 S. Superior St.

Guest speakers at the unveiling include Kathy Eftekhari, executive director of the Arts & Industry Council, Albion Mayor Bill Wheaton, new Albion College President Donna Randall, Albion Public Schools Superintendent Frederick Clarke and Calhoun County Chairwoman Kate Segal.

The Albion Community Mural Project included several brainstorming sessions, where Albion residents gave input about its design. The project is a part of the Calhoun County Public Art Program and is supported by the Arts & Industry Council and the W.K. Kellogg Foundation.
