$1,118 raised for Food Bank at Supermarket Sweep
Eleven local media teams participated in the Supermarket Sweep on Tuesday at the Famly Fare Supermarket, 15900 W. Michigan Ave., Marshall.

Four hundred and eight items were collected for the Food Bank, with a net worth of $1,118.

Capturing first place was the team from Senior Times, with David Sherban, Patty Pastor and Greg Moore gathering 49 items. Next came the team from Scene Magazine with Matt Travis, Kate Segal and Roxanne Davis with 47 items. Third place went to the team from the Battle Creek Shopper News with Shelby Woodard, Judy Morey and Jodi Pendleton pulling off 45 items from the shelves.

The Wobbly Wheel award, earned by the last-place team, went to the Battle Creek Bombers' Megan Luzi, Jake Thayer and Nate Mueske.
