Clean Water Action endorses Segal
Kate Segal, a Democratic candidate for the state House District 62 seat, announced Wednesday her candidacy has been endorsed by Clean Water Action, a grassroots, national environmental organization.
According to a news release from her campaign, Clean Water Action cited Segal's work as part of the Junior League of Battle Creek's state public affairs committee in helping to pass Public Act 24 of 2004, legislation that strengthened parental notification requirements prior to the application of pesticides in schools and day care settings, in their endorsement.
"I am proud and honored to have the support of Clean Water Action and the commitment to preserve our state's natural resources that it represents," Segal said. "If elected, I will ensure that Michigan's children are protected from unwarranted use of toxic chemicals and protect our water supplies."
