Dear Friends and Neighbors,

In just a few short days, the polls will open across Michigan and voters will have the opportunity to express their most fundamental civil right. Your vote is your voice in government, and never has your voice been so important in determining the future of our state. I believe in a Michigan where our schools enable our children to have a better future than our own, a state in which our streets are protected and safe, and a Michigan that attracts the best in emerging businesses and the high quality jobs that come with them. If you agree with these goals and aspirations, if you want our state to move away from the failures of the past and towards an optimistic and prosperous future, than you must make your voice heard at the ballot box this year. I urge you to vote this November 2nd. 

In the past two years, I have worked tirelessly for the people and communities of the 62nd District, and I will never hesitate to stand by my record. I am proud of the support that I have gained throughout my community by standing by the values that you, the voters, hold dear. When you sent me to Lansing, I did not go to play the partisan game of politics or to push my own agenda forward. I went to Lansing to advance the best interests of our district and our state. From leading the fight to save the Michigan Youth ChalleNGe academy, to gaining bipartisan support for my law that saved hundreds of jobs in Battle Creek, to fighting for a balanced budget free of tax increases, I have stood by the people I serve.

As a voter, you have an opportunity to decide which path our state will now go down. I have continually proven through my service that a vote for me is a vote for responsible and quality leadership in Lansing. I now ask for your support again and stress your vital role in the process of electing a responsive and effective government. There is much yet to be done, and with your support at the polls on November 2, we can make another stride towards the recovery of our state.
